ISSUE I: WHISPERS FROM THE PAST

What we're looking for:

Unraveling Threads wants a painful experience beautifully crafted into a write up. We don't mind what it is, or how

personal it is--we simply want work that will force us to look relate to your past. We want your raw, beautiful, hideous,

real, tragic depictions of what haunts you. You can combine it with the world's history too.

What we're not looking for:

While we are glad to consider work that explores the darker faces of human life, we will under NO circumstances accept

work that glorifies or agrees with prejudice, hatred, or violence. Extreme profanity and sexual content are not allowed. The

use of AI is strictly prohibited and will result in rejection.

What we accept:

PROSE : up to 4 pieces, no more than 3,000 words each

POETRY: up to 5 poems, no more than 1,500 words each

All pieces must be in Times New Roman font in plain black text colour.

We ask that you submit your piece in a word document.

We allow simultaneous submissions.

We do not accept previously published work.

Follow the guidelines below for proper submission:

  1. If you are submitting more than once, please do so in separate form responses.

  2. You may submit up to two times per issue.

  3. Work that is submitted to our feedback program may not be submitted for an issue until the next submission period.
